A Michigan native, I’ve been transfixed with the film medium since the moment I watched Lord of The Rings, and growing up I became more and more entranced by the art of collaborative filmmaking. I attended the University of Michigan, where I was able to meet a great array of faculty members and students, and dip my toes in the different areas of the industry.
While the pandemic resulted in some setbacks, I was able to work on numerous student sets in my final two years, gaining experience in the departments of camera, lighting, and sound. I graduated with degrees in Film, Television, and Media (with a sub-major in screenwriting) and Communications. That following summer I served as a 2nd AC on a feature shooting in northern Michigan, and quickly fell in love with the workflows and environment of working with a professional camera team, and wrapped that project with a sense of the camera department being my home base.
I’m currently local to the LA area and am pursuing work in the camera department, with the goal of joining Local 600 as a 2nd AC.
Some other interests of mine include mountain biking, kicking around a soccer ball, reading, trying out new pasta dishes, and slowly making my way through my horror film watchlist.
